Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Caregiver Training is a holistic, evidence-based
and trauma-informed intervention designed to meet the complex needs of vulnerable
children. Designed to train professionals, teachers, parents and caregivers, this training
will guide caregivers in understanding the impact of trauma on children and their holistic
development and will offer practices that help bring healing and growth in all aspects
of children’s lives.

TBRI® is a method that has been developed after more than a decade of research by professionals
at the Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at Texas Christian University. Those who
complete the training will receive a certificate of attendance and 28 hours of professional
development. TBRI® is based primarily on three guiding principles: connecting, empowering
and correcting.
